Stax Records and Concord Music Group commissioned a lyric video for "The Whole Damn World is Going Crazy" by John Gary Williams.
A member of renowned Memphis vocal group "The Mad Lads," John Gary Williams released a self-titled album in 1973, the waning days of the original Stax Records. In honor of Stax's upcoming re-release of Williams' under-appreciated LP, Concord Music Group commissioned a lyric video for "The Whole Damn World is Going Crazy."
Intercutting footage from the Civil Rights Movement, the Berlin Wall, the Vietnam War, and the LA Riots, with the recent protests against the election of Donald Trump, William's track seems as on-point as it ever was.
